A convenient appointment time can become inconvenient once you add the journey. Check the full trip before booking, including the last stretch between the stop or parking place and the entrance.
Start with the right address and entrance.
Confirm the location named in the booking. If a building has several entrances or the accessible entrance is elsewhere, ask which one to use. Include any walking, transfers and time needed to find reception.
If you need a step-free route, check the entire journey. A venue's access arrangement does not establish that every station, stop or pavement on the way will work for you.
Check current service information.
TTC separates planned service changes from real-time disruption alerts. Review the information relevant to your route before travelling, including accessibility information where needed. A journey saved several weeks earlier may no longer describe the service running that day.
Have a workable alternative if a key part of the route is unavailable. It is better to discover that the alternative does not suit you before committing to a time that depends on it.
Allow for the visit around the appointment.
- The venue's requested arrival time and any introduction.
- Changing before and after the activity.
- Weather and the final outdoor section.
- A comfortable margin before your next commitment.
- The return journey at the time you expect to leave.
If you are delayed, contact the venue using the details in your confirmation and check what its policy permits. Do not assume the session can shift by the amount of your delay.
Leave a little time you have not assigned to anything. It gives ordinary disruptions somewhere to go without consuming the part of the day you booked for yourself.
