A contrast session includes changes between heat and cold; a heat-only booking may offer a different structure. Before choosing, ask what the named session actually contains and how much choice you have within it.

Check the structure before paying.

Find out whether the session is guided, which areas it includes and when breaks happen. Ask whether you can sit out cold immersion or another activity, and what the rest of the visit looks like if you do.

A description of a sequence is not always an explanation of the alternatives. If an optional part matters to your decision, get a clear answer rather than assuming the booking will adapt on arrival.

Separate your purpose from the package.

You may want company, quiet, a particular room or an introduction to a new format. Say which part interests you. That can help staff identify the booking that fits without making you choose the longest sequence by default.

If you have a health question about heat or cold exposure, ask an appropriate clinician before participating. A general invitation to try a session cannot answer an individual suitability question.

Make the shared plan flexible.

When attending with someone else, agree where to meet if you take different breaks. Check the venue's rules and available areas so that your plan is practical for the session you selected.

You do not need to turn an afternoon into a test of completing every available activity. Choose the format knowingly, follow the guidance and speak up when you want to change what you are doing. A visit can be worthwhile because it contains the part you wanted to enjoy.
